Midweek Motivation ~ Healthy Eating ~ Yoghurt Pot
As you may (or may not, tut tut) know I try/am trying to eat healthily, I'm a kinda all or nothing girl so if I eat healthy I do but if I eat sweets I eat all the sweets!!! There is no difference in my mind between a single serving bar of chocolate and a multi-pack, either go well with A cup of tea!!!
That said I came across a lovely girl Linh, who has a great blog, Finding Linh, and did a post on salad parties, this seemed like an amazing concept to me so I shared her post on google plus and twitter and now I am sharing it wit you, people of the blogosphere! (I need a group of friends who work 9-5 and bring lunch/ want to have a salad party!) Read her post here! After telling her what a great idea this was, she mentioned wanting to do a yoghurt pot kinda party with summery fruits, I thought this is for me!!!
Now I am yet to find a group who want to make this party happen but I did think it was a great lunchtime/snack idea and so after looking in my fridge at all the berries I had bought I thought I'd give it a go for making my lunches!!! I also love cute jars, as you can see here in my cake jar post, and up-cycling jars post!
Ingredients I used in order(so you got gooey to crunchy):
- Glenisk Vanilla Yoghurt
- Healy's Honey
- Chai seeds
- Raspberries
- Blueberries
- Granola
You must start with the wet ingredients; yoghurt/honey, (I had my chai seeds pre-soaked for my porridge so they are kinda in the wet category but it's really up to you how you like them) separating them from the dry crunchy granola with the fresh berries!
Make up a few and store them in the fridge for a quick exodus in the morning and a tasty healthy lunch!
Hope you try this out and let me know how it goes?
What mix would you like in your yoghurt pot?
Have you had a salad party??
Do you say yoghurt or yogurt???

- Alert them to the nomination on social media!
The Q & A
1. What made you decide to join the blogging world?
I don't know really, looking for a creative outlet, I missed this world after finishing college! And guess who??? Yep Linda encouraged me to start a blog so I kinda went from there!
2. Is blogging what you thought it would be when you started?
I didn't really know what to expect!
It is actually a lot of work, maybe I didn't comprehend that at the start.
3. What has been you highlights in the blogging world so far?
The blogging community!!! So supportive and encouraging, wasn't expecting it at all but so thankful and happy to have found such a lovely group of people!!!
4. What are your favourite types of blogs to read?

Then there is baking and foodie blogs, I have a mouth full of sweet teeth so any simple bakes are a must!
Then crafts and knitting etc guess this ties in with fashion?!
I think lifestyle is a catch all, so if you give me everything I love that's great!!!!
5. What is your goal for your blog? Is it you hobby or would you like it to be your job?
It is a hobby at the moment and I think it should stay that way. A creative outlet in a modern hectic world.
6. What is the most important thing you have learn about blogging so far?
It is difficult and it takes time and effort but it's worth it!
7. Which country is currently at the top of your list to visit!?
This is a tough one, I don't really know, it's more what I want to see, maybe the Dali museum in Spain or a Fashion Week?? Then there is always a sun holiday where I don't see anything but the beach!!!!
8. If you could be anyone for a day who would it be?
I'm kinda happy being myself! I don't know.... There are so many incredible people in the world, past and present, but I wouldn't want to put myself in a stressful situation even if it's just for one day!
9. Who is your biggest inspiration in life?
No idea, everyone has something to offer and can teach you something! I am mostly inspired by my family and friends!
10. If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self what would it be?
I don't think I would give advise, everything happens for a reason so go with it! Don't stress the small things??
11. What is you ideal day?
A day spent with family, friends & pets, just relaxing and chatting!

Stay Positive and Grow!!!
As part of my "Being a Functioning Person" in 2016 and on... includes doing simple things like attempting mornings and making the bed. However part of my life I have been miss-treating recently is my garden. Ok it's a bit much to call it a garden but my window sills and hanging baskets (now not hanging)
Over the winter I tend to forget about them as they do not require so much attention. (I do water sporadically)
I think plants and flowers cheer up my house and my life! Not only do they filter the air (important for those living in built up areas) but they teach us to nurture and look after something other than ourselves and simply put a smile on our face!!!
So to inspire me I have been pinning and reading and one blog I came across Black Thumb Gardener gave me some pocket friendly ideas about recycling kitchen waste into functional plants that I just have to share with you!
I might start with the ginger as it seems the simplest. I have in the past grown my own peppers from the seeds inside my bell peppers so I might do this again too!
Also one of my onions started to grow in the kitchen, I'm not sure what it will do but I planted it anyway!!!
And something random started to sprout out of my compost bin and I plan to grow that too, if for no other reason just to find out what it is??? Mostly teabags and coffee in there??
So I plan to start now and keep you updated on my progress!
Have you grown/ recycled kitchen waste? Please tell me your stories!!!
