Blogmas Day 8 ~ Hampers ~ Beauty Bouquet ~

I did a beauty gift guide here for Blogmas day 4, but some of these gifts were a bit pricey so maybe you wanna make your own Christmas beauty gift. You could make a hamper but a beauty bouquet is so much more impressive.

Gather up lots of little beauty items, I went to  you guessed it Primark for most of these!!!

Eye lashes/ nail polish/ lip balm/ eye lash curler/ nail art brushes/ beauty brushes/ lip stick/ mascara/ etc etc etc buying individual items can be more cost effective, you can pick up a lot more stuff for the same price as one store bought beauty gift.

Bouquet materials:

  • Cupcake cases
  • Skewers
  • Oasis
  • Tissue Paper
  • Cellophane
  • Hot glue gun
  • Make-up

Got glue the skewers to the make-up then hot glue the cupcake cases to the skewer, stick skewer in oasis and repeat with everything.
Tie up with tissue, cellophane and ribbon just like a florist!!!

Beautiful!!

Primark/Penneys Haul

Just a quick update of my adventures as a shopaholic!!!

I just can't pass Penneys / Primark without going in and today I picked up a few basics I needed!

A new black bag €12, I love the zip detail on this bag, and it is lined so nothing falls out when it's opened!

Tink make-up bag €5, I just thought it was so cute!

P.S... Strawberry Lip Balm €2.50, a girl can never have enough lip balm! This is like the Balmi lip gloss.

Hair clips, €1.50, I always use these clips to tie up my hair, they are great for buns or plaits!

Black Cotton Leggings €4, I needed a new pair...

So there it is.....

Feel free to comment or tell me of your shopping adventures!!!

Rouge G de Guerlain Review

I got this lipstick a few weeks ago and was so excited first of all to find a stockist so close and secondly because I have been lusting after this product for so long.

A friend recommended this brand to me last year but mostly I was sold by the packaging!!!

So here’s my review:

Shade 15

Formula:

Guerlain say “Exceptional Complete Lip ColourLipstick is reinvented in an exceptional jewel with Rouge G, a subtle balance of intense colour and the comforting pleasure of a creamy lip balm. Behind this magical creation is an astounding formula: the unique combination of ruby powder for spectacular radiance, hyaluronic acid spheres for perfectly smoothed lips and wild mango butter for lasting hydration.

Lips are intensely coloured, perfectly smoothed, moisturised and plumped up. For excessively perfect lips!”

This was a rich creamy texture which feels really nice. 10/10

Staying power:

This shade is neutral and a bit translucent, one of the reasons I choose it as a neutral lippie so it does require a bit of reapplication throughout the day but overall quite good staying power! Also any excuse to whip it out and show off the amazing packaging!!  8/10

Packaging:

Ok 10/10 with the built in mirror this is the best packaging I have seen in a long time!!

It is a bit bigger than your regular lipstick, but it’s worth it.

Smell:

They say:      “The light, delicate scent of a vanilla "floriental" leaves its incomparable mark on Rouge G de Guerlain. Top notes sparkle with a lemon, orange and bergamot accord. The rose and iris heart exudes sweetness. The vanilla and tonka bean dry-down gives Rouge G all of its intensity.”

In short it smells lovely! 10/10

Price:

This set me back €42 (£30.51 or $46.96) it is a bit pricey but we all deserve a splurge every now and again so why not.

Overall I love this product and would like to get more colours but it is a treat at the moment so we’ll see!

Saturday Shopping!!! Mini Haul!

Today I had a quick dash into town (literally have you seen the weather!!! I left with sunglasses and returned under a brolly!!!) and this is what I picked up!

It’s all baking and beauty.

I Picked up these two cake boxes in baby pink and hot pink for €0.90 each in Brennans cookshop.

Then I wandered over to Minihans Pharmacy to check out their Geurlain make-up stand and I picked up their Rouge G de Guerlain lipstick in the shade 15.  (Review coming)They also gave me some foundation samples so I must check these out.

Just a mini hual this time but had to mention it as I’m so excited about this lipstick!!!
