Blogmas Day 14 ~ Rouge G de Guerlain Review Again!

Ok I know I just did one of these but as I raved about my love of this lippie my Mum picked up another one for me as she passed through an Airport in England! Much better value too! £26 (€35.39/ $40.10)

This one is in the shade B21 Bianco

So here’s my review:

Formula:

They say        “Exceptional Complete Lip ColourLipstick is reinvented in an exceptional jewel with Rouge G, a subtle balance of intense colour and the comforting pleasure of a creamy lip balm. Behind this magical creation is an astounding formula: the unique combination of ruby powder for spectacular radiance, hyaluronic acid spheres for perfectly smoothed lips and wild mango butter for lasting hydration.

Lips are intensely coloured, perfectly smoothed, moisturised and plumped up. For excessively perfect lips!”

This was a rich creamy texture which feels really nice. 10/10

Staying power:

Better than 15 due to colour intensity 9/10

Packaging:

Ok 10/10 with the built in mirror this is the best packaging I have seen in a long time!!

It is a bit bigger and as recently pointed out to me heavier than your regular lipstick, but it’s worth it to have the mirror and overall glamorous look!

Smell:

They say:      “The light, delicate scent of a vanilla "floriental" leaves its incomparable mark on Rouge G de Guerlain. Top notes sparkle with a lemon, orange and bergamot accord. The rose and iris heart exudes sweetness. The vanilla and tonka bean dry-down gives Rouge G all of its intensity.”

In short it smells lovely! 10/10

Price:

Though a bit cheaper than my previous one still a bit on the pricey side but we all deserve a splurge every now and again so why not. 6/10

Overall I still love this product, I feel an addiction starting!!!!

Anyone else tried any Guerlian Lipsticks?

Blogmas Day 13 ~ Whitty Gifts ~

We all have friends who invite you around never telling you that their home is lacking a few key basics.... tea, milk, toilet paper!!!

My solution to kindly point out their shopping failures this Christmas.....

I found this on Pinterest (like the obsessive I am) pinned from here

The Gift Tag reads:

"Money is scarce and times are hard,

So I'm giving you this Instead of a card.

Some for you and Some to share,

So bottoms up Just cause I care"

All you need is Toilet paper, Boggly eyes, orange card for noise, Card for Gift Tag, Cellophane, curling ribbons!!!

Hope everyone likes this idea and your friends get the hint!!
Can't wait to see how it goes down!!!

Blogmas Day 12 ~ #OOTD

#OOTD

So I went shopping today with a plan to but some thigh high boots, saw some lovely grey ones in Primark. Unfortunately they were sold out in grey but I tried the black and as always they looked awful!!!!

Does anyone else out there have difficulty buying boots that fit your calves and thighs???

Todays boots as almost all boots were massive!!! I mean I could have fitted both my legs in one!!!!

I appreciate the wide fit that many brands provide for feet, these are so comfy and stop squishing your toes, however I wish brands did a slim fit leg, especially with elasticated fabrics.
Why stretchy boots are too big is beyond me!!!

We have regular fit and wide fit but where is the slim fit????!!!!! Please help designers and buyers in shoe and boot land????

Rant over...

Reason for my shopping was that I wanted to try this lampshade trend!!!

My solution, cut up tights and wear as really long leg warmers!!!! (but really I want boots that fit)

#OOTD woolly jumper to keep me warm, leg warmers and Wallis boots (quite a good fit, could be a bit tighter) !!!!

Blogmas Day 10 ~ DIY Hampers Secret Santa ~

Secret Santa presents can be difficult but I have some suggestions.

You know some basics about the recipient, not a lot if it's a work thing but some!

This example I know the recipient has a cute little dog and everyone loves being cosy in winter.

So off to Primark with me.

  • Doggy Stocking.
  • Throw
  • Reindeer Slippers
Then I got a name candle in a home wear shop!

Then yep you guessed it I wrapped it all up with cellophane and curling ribbons!!!
I also added some dog biscuits!

Blogmas Day 9 ~ The Christmas Tag ~

I keep reading Christmas Tags and I just love hearing about everyone's Christmas experiences and favourites so here's mine!!!

1. What is your favorite Christmas film?

It's not really a Christmas Film but it's always on around Christmas, I love it and it reminds me of Christmas! The original Willy Wonka, Gene Wilder and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!!!

2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?

Once or twice, we've had white Decembers and Januarys but not sure about Christmas day!?

3. Favourite Christmas Smell?

Cinnamon and cloves!

4. Have you ever made a Ginger Bread House?

Of Course! (This isn't mine but hopefully I'll bake one this year and post images)

5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?

Christmas Day, get up early to see what Santa brought!!

6. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

Real. Always, it's just so nice to walk into a room to the smell of a real tree!!!

7. What is your all-time favorite holiday food/sweet treat?

Christmas Dinner! All of it, turkey and stuffing, roast potato's, gravy, carrot,s even brussle sprouts (they just remind me of Christmas) and then filling a toasted sandwich with all these things!!!

8. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?

I am sort of a pro, I do get impatient though! I love gift wrap!

9. Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?

Not really, never got into it.

Blogmas Day 8 ~ Hampers ~ Beauty Bouquet ~

I did a beauty gift guide here for Blogmas day 4, but some of these gifts were a bit pricey so maybe you wanna make your own Christmas beauty gift. You could make a hamper but a beauty bouquet is so much more impressive.

Gather up lots of little beauty items, I went to  you guessed it Primark for most of these!!!

Eye lashes/ nail polish/ lip balm/ eye lash curler/ nail art brushes/ beauty brushes/ lip stick/ mascara/ etc etc etc buying individual items can be more cost effective, you can pick up a lot more stuff for the same price as one store bought beauty gift.

Bouquet materials:

  • Cupcake cases
  • Skewers
  • Oasis
  • Tissue Paper
  • Cellophane
  • Hot glue gun
  • Make-up

Got glue the skewers to the make-up then hot glue the cupcake cases to the skewer, stick skewer in oasis and repeat with everything.
Tie up with tissue, cellophane and ribbon just like a florist!!!

Beautiful!!
